Product Description:

The Intimus 10000G degausses hard drives and magnetic tape for organizations that retire a moderate number of drives on a regular schedule. It applies a 10,000 gauss (1 Tesla) minimum magnetic field, reaching 11,000 gauss at peak, to the media in the drawer. The field scrambles the magnetic patterns on the platters, so the stored data cannot be read back.

Each cycle runs 15 seconds, and the unit can run continuously without cool-down breaks. At that pace it handles up to 240 desktop drives or 440 laptop drives an hour. Media up to 1.2 x 4.48 x 10.2 inches fits the drawer, covering desktop, laptop, and server hard drives along with computer tape cartridges recorded in longitudinal (LMR) or perpendicular (PMR) format.

The 10000G meets DoD and DSS requirements for unclassified data and is NATO listed. It supports data disposal under HIPAA, GLBA, PCI DSS, FACTA, GDPR, PIPEDA, and NIST. After each cycle, the LCD reads out the field strength and the digital counter logs the cycle. The degausser runs on 120 or 240 volt power through its auto-sensing supply, weighs 40 lb, and is built in the USA.
